As your blood splashes to the stiff and solid ground
Your memories and thoughts disappear in the air
Where emptiness and grief surround a soul gone nowhere to be found
In the hands of terrorism rapt in the ignorance of a country
Can they let you be free and your spirit flies close to me?
If the bullets had gone across my chest instead of your brain
Killing every stream of everything you were and wanted to be
Can these tears dripping down my face defeat your soul’s pain?
Finding you in my deepest thoughts or in this heart that can’t bear more
pain
As many have cried
And more will
To free the country you died for
To give it wings and my ancestors rest in peace
May the light shine through you as it will shine upon the unawareness of creatures
armed with hate
If I can hear your voice before your last breath
Feel your heart before it stopped
I would hold you close to me
In the depths of my arms
And with one kiss I would kiss my father away
Sending him where Angels are born
And Heroes live for eternity.
