Born in the city of Medellin, Colombia in the winter of 1976, Adriana Echeverri began a journey that would bring her to the United States at an early age. This journey has evoked many memories, as her struggles gave her the strength to surpass the difficulties she encountered. These memories perspire through her poetry where mixed emotions of love and sorrow attempt to paint the colors in her heart. The compelling desire to express her feelings on paper is an inherit trait of character shared by her father, a pleasure writer, and a politician in her country and her grandfather, an author of several Colombian novels.

Adriana is now a college student majoring in psychology. She published her first book A Tangled Heart, in date, and has had the honor of having her poems included in several published books, Eternal Portraits Series, released in the summer of 2003, Theater Of The Mind, also released in the early summer of 2003,as well as internet sites were her poetry is displayed.

Adriana has performed at different productions in were she recites her spoken poetry. Her traveling and interest in foreign cultures allow her to eliminate ethnic boundaries and reach out to all people. She hopes that through her deeply thought and broad reach poems, people will realize that they are not the only ones with these feelings, her heart has been broken but her love for love will not allow her to hate, or stop loving. Her poetry is perhaps her one and true path of releasing all of her emotions and past experiences life has given her.
